Vantage Bulletin
Welcome to the 2nd edition of Vantage Bulletin. This newsletter is about communicating and connecting with you throughout the year.
We’ll cover topics that affect you, our valued clients: people living in a Unit Titled community, including legislation changes, best practice for your consideration and other topics that are relevant to living in a strata titled complex.

Vantage turned 10 in May.
From very humble beginnings—our first office was a broom cupboard —we’ve grown into a team of 86, proudly managing over 215 Unit Plans across Canberra and surrounding NSW.
As we celebrate this milestone, we reflect on the journey that brought us here and the incredible team that made it all possible. Our success is a testament to the dedication, professionalism, and heart of every member of the Vantage family.
Over the past decade, we’ve achieved some remarkable milestones:
- Team Growth: From a small founding group to a multidisciplinary team spanning strata, finance, facilities, and building management.
- Industry Advocacy: We’ve championed strata reform to better protect and represent owners across the ACT.
- Workforce Wellbeing: With 100% staff engagement in our wellbeing programs, we’ve invested in services ranging from psychology to performance coaching to support our people.
- Award-Winning Leadership: Vantage has been honoured and recognised over the years with a number of Strata Community Australasia Awards at both state and national level.
- Client-Centric Growth: Our portfolio has grown through referrals and word of mouth—proof of the trust and satisfaction we’ve earned from our clients.
- Innovation in Action: We’ve implemented practical, forward-thinking solutions to streamline operations and enhance the client experience.
- Community Connection: We’ve proudly supported local events and initiatives, giving back to the community that has supported us.
To our clients, partners, and team—thank you for your support and trust. Here’s to the next decade of growth, innovation, and positive change for the Canberra strata community!

Inquiry into the management of strata properties
The Legislative Assembly’s Standing Committee on Legal Affairs has commenced an inquiry into the management of unit title properties, more commonly known as strata properties. The inquiry will focus on the application of the Unit Titles (Management) Act 2011 and will include the role of strata managers, the roles and responsibilities of executive committee members, decision-making in strata developments, issues arising in mixed-use buildings, access to sustainability initiatives by residents, and the potential for a Strata Commissioner in the AC

Vantage Strata Recognised by SCA Awards for Championing Staff Wellbeing
Canberra may be small in size, but it’s proving to be a powerhouse on the national stage—especially when it comes to forward-thinking approaches in strata management. At the 2024–2025 Strata Community Australasia (SCA) Awards, Vantage Strata was recognised with the Environmental, Social, and Community Impact Award, celebrating the firm’s commitment to supporting its people and contributing positively to the wider community.
At the heart of the win is Vantage Strata’s groundbreaking partnership with Canberra-based health tech start-up CU Health, which provides employees with a tailored suite of healthcare services. From general practitioners and psychologists to career coaches and dieticians, the platform offers a holistic approach to physical, mental, and professional wellbeing.

One fee – One price
In response to the ABC Four Corners program and consistent feedback from our valued clients, we have decided to proactively eliminate insurance commissions from our business model. We believe in staying ahead of legislative changes and prioritizing transparency in all our dealings.
Transparency has been a common theme in our discussions, and as a result, we have thoroughly reviewed our service charges. We are excited to introduce our One Fee – One Price model. This new structure simplifies the understanding of the total cost of our services and eliminates additional charges for core services.
This transition will naturally take place as management agreements come up for renewal. Based on our current portfolio, we anticipate this project will take approximately 18 to 24 months to complete. However, if you are a member of the Executive Committee in your complex and wish to transition to the new fee structure sooner, please complete the form below. We can then arrange a time to discuss this at your next EC meeting.
